What's in my Speech Therapy Bag?

Updated: Jul 5, 2024

Hi Everyone! It is June and time to show you what I have in my speech therapy bag!

Here are a few language targets I use with wind up toys

  1. Stop/Go

  2. Slow/Fast

  3. Actions (i.e. "hop, walk, jump, run")

  4. Sentence expansion (i.e. "it go" "it jump")

  5. Requesting for help (i.e. "help me, I need help")

  6. Commenting (i.e. "That's fun!, Look!, I like it! I don't like it.)

  7. Expanded requesting (i.e. "Do more, done___", Let's do more)

Here are a few speech targets I use with wind up toys

  1. S-blends (i.e. "stop, slow")

  2. "Go!", especially if your child is substituting a "d" for "go"

  3. Lip rounding (i.e. "go, slow, wa/walk")

  4. Lip alternation (i..e. "whee")

  5. Jaw movement (i.e. "ap/stop, hop, it)
